“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two dear friends.”
