Homages Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order issued a restriction on the files to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

After the deaths, public figures shared different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering provocative claims that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and suggested they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an aide could have stepped in when the impulse to speak on the passing was made.
